Abstract
An article on a Pleasant Lake cottage on the site of a former girl's camp in Otisfield, designed by architect and Maine native John Cole for Peter and Marygrace Barber of Boston. The shingled craftsman-style house fits the land and is built mostly of recycled wood, with an open simplicity and functionality of design. Damon Builders of Mechanics Falls built what will eventually become the Barbers' retirement home.
