    Abstract

    "North by East" piece on how state senator Ethan Strimling, D-Portland, is responding to a bill introduced by a New Hampshire legislator laying claim to the towns of Kittery and Berwick. Strimling, saying the boundary issue has become absurd, responded in kind with a bill to annex Portsmouth and the Isles of Shoals. His bill lacks even the pretense of legal justification.
