Abstract

At Maine's annual Becoming an Outdoors-Woman weekend, sponsored by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, author Elizabeth Peavey comes face-to-face with her "inner woods weenie." The event, part of a nationwide program, took place at Camp Bishopswood on Megunticook Lake, in Hope. Workshops focused on skills related to hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, kayaking, photography, landscaping for wildlife, canoeing, biking, and other outdoor activities. This year's weekend will be held at Camp Caribou in Winslow.
