Abstract

An article on father and son photographers Paul, 73, and John Paul Caponigro, 40, who live adjacent to each other in Cushing. John Paul is the author of "Adobe Photoshop Master Class." He came to digital photography almost by accident after moving to Maine in 1989, while he was artist-in-residence at the Center for Creative Imaging in Camden. Paul connected with the West Coast Photographers in the 1950s while in the Army, and studied with one of them, Minor White. He is represented in the collections of most major U.S. museums. Both men have a spiritual approach to photographing nature.
