    Abstract

    A look at the new Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory, which opens for motorized traffic in November. The bridge promises to become a new Maine landmark. Its observatory, the only bridge observatory in North America and the tallest occupied structure in Maine, is expected to draw 100,000 visitors annually. With statistics on the construction, measurements, and cost of the bridge, which replaces the old Waldo-Hancock Bridge.
