Abstract

"North by East" piece on the circa-1931 Waldo-Hancock Bridge, which has been replaced by the new Penobscot Narrows Bridge. The deadline for dismantling the old bridge was March, 30, 2007, but the funds necessary to complete the $7 million demolition have not been made available.
