Abstract
Down East "How To" guide on procuring home grown vegetables during Maine's winter. Eliot Coleman and Barbara Damrosch run Four Season Farm in Harborside, where in 2006 they grossed $120,000 off an acre and a half. Coleman, who wrote "Four Season Harvest," explains his techniques for growing vegetables in movable greenhouses heated by the sun. His latest innovation is a movable glass greenhouse designed for home gardeners. With a list of Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms in Maine, which offer shares of produce and other farm products to community members for an annual fee.
