Abstract

The Maine State Society for the Protection of Animals is indebted for much of its success in saving horses to Marilyn Goodreau and her partner, the late multimillionaire Lawrence J. Keddy. The couple co-founded a farm in South Windham that is the largest equine rescue and rehabilitation center in New England. The center continues to operate in the spirit of their shared passion for animals.
