Abstract

A brief history of the Casella Waste System's Maine Energy Recovery Co. trash incinerator in Biddeford, and details on the ongoing struggle of opponents to see the plant closed, even as the private company now looks for a potential buyer. A task force was formed to cool the debate long enough to allow Biddeford-Saco and the company to come to a consensus.
