Abstract
The U.S. National Toboggan Championships weekend at the Camden Snow Bowl is a fundraiser for the ski area. Elizabeth Peavey describes her experience on the four-person team, Down East Divas, which competed (unsuccessfully) for the title of best-dressed team. The top of the toboggan chute is 400 feet up the side of Ragged Mountain and it empties out on frozen Hosmer Pond. With a description of the event and the team's two wild toboggan rides.
