Abstract

Profile of Monica Elliott, who moved from Lima, Peru, to Lubec to assist her husband, Stanley Elliott when he suffered a brain aneurysm while working at Peacock Canning. Despite not speaking English, she started a homemade chocolates and import store with a cafe. Today, Monica's Chocolates offers 90 varieties of chocolates and employs seven to 12 local residents.
