Abstract
The nocturnal Northern flying squirrel is rarely seen, yet Mark Bloomer’s house on the banks of the Aroostook River has become a feeding hot spot for them, and Bloomer has hosted various researchers and filmmakers, including David Attenborough, who have filmed and studied the animals’ acrobatics. Bloomer has taken pains to ensure that his feeding station is not also attractive to predators who could decimate the rodent colony.
