Abstract

Steve Thomas, the spokesman for Habitat for Humanity International and former host of the PBS television series This Old House, recently moved to Maine year-round, after years summering on Hupper Island in a cottage he renovated himself. With a brief discussion of Thomas’s work with Habitat and a sidebar with his six tips for sustainable construction, what he calls the “Six Rings of Green.”
