Abstract

"Talk of Maine" piece about why Maine has the second highest divorce rate in the nation. Among the reasons cited: the state's aging population and a weak economy which puts financial pressures on couples. Another factor may be that the process of obtaining a divorce in Maine is relatively easy from a legal perspective.
