Abstract
Article highlights the value of seaweed as a nutritional food source, and the efforts that are being made to promote it as such. An index of edible algae on the Maine coast is include, as well as recipes. Some types of algae are used as fertilizer and a short article regarding the controversy of harvesting rockweed to be used as a fertilizer is included.
