Abstract
Camden photographer Patrisha McLean’s book, “My Island” encompasses 125 black and white portraits of children who live on the Penobscot Bay islands of Islesboro, Vinalhaven. The photographer hope to illustrate how the children “were as connected to the woods, rocks, and ocean as they are detached from Walmart.” The reviewer believes she accomplished this objective.
