Abstract

An adapted article from DownEast content partner, the Maine Public Broadcasting Network, describes the “light speed” dash across the 40 mile scale model solar system from model Pluto in Houlton to model Earth in Presque Isle. Science fans in northern Maine organized it to mark NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft flying by Pluto in July 2015.
