Abstract

Portland’s David Worobec, through his company Tophat Toy Theater, has helped to reintroduce toy theater in Maine. Toy theater (also called paper, model, or object theater) was popular in the late 18th and early 19th- century European salons, but fell out of favor with the invention of the television.
