Abstract

The Maine state legislature approved and committed funding in 2015 to establish a specialty team to solve cold cases. Four cases the team will try to solve are described including the slaying of Effie MacDonald in Bangor in 1965, Mary Catherine Olenchuk in Ogunquit in 1976, James Arlington Cassidy in Amherst in 1976, and Leslie Spellman in Northeast Harbor in 1977.
