Abstract
An article about proposed increases in park fees at 17 national parks, including Maine's Acadia National Park. The rise in fees would covered deferred maintenance of roads, trails and facilities in the parks. Exorbitant increases would deter many from experiencing the refuge the parks provide to all visitors.
