Abstract
The Lighthouse Museum at Grand Army Hall in Rockland holds the nation's largest collection of "the jewels of the lighthouse service." All of the astonishing number of artifacts were collected by Ken Black, who started after taking command of the Rockland Coast Guard Station in 1964, collecting castoffs from Coast Guard stations throughout the east coast.
