Abstract

Jeff Morrison, owner of Harvey Quarry in the Oxford Hills, unveiled a promising mineral pocket in the company of invited miners, collectors, jewelers, and earth scientists. Although tourmaline is the most valuable of the mineral varieties found in the quarry, scientists are interested also in the other minerals that offer insights into the tectonic forces deep in the Earth.
