Abstract

Charlotte Gill, owner of Charlotte's Legendary Lobster Pound in Southwest Harbor, had a crisis of conscience over the suffering of lobsters in her cooking pot. She decided to see if getting lobsters high on cannabis would help alleviate their pain. Article discusses a study that looks at whether invertebrates possess cannabinoid receptors and Gill's experiments with valerian as an alternative.
