Abstract
Feature piece on a fish house in Cape Porpoise that has been photographed so often there are thousands of images of it on Instagram. The house was built in 2016 by Bob Zuke. He sees his fish house as an attempt to preserve the fishing-village character of Cape Porpoise. Gary Eaton, a neighbor, thinks the structure should be demolished and "laments a loss of cohesion... around Cape Porpoise." At stake are notions of what changes should be allowed in a community and who should drive those changes.
