Abstract
A brief discussion of the beer-based work of Luci Benedict, a USM chemistry professor who launched the Quality Control Collaboratory in 2016 to analyze submissions by brewers from Maine and other parts of New England. Describes the various tests that can be performed on beer and how the results assist brewers in producing a consistent product.
