Article describing Portland restaurant Leeward. Leeward opened in March 2020, just before pandemic-related closures began. The restaurant is owned by Raquel and Jake Stevens, who are originally from Oregon. The restaurant was named a finalist in the Best New Restaurant category of the James Beard Awards. The restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine with seasonal Maine ingredients.
