Abstract

Author Ann Pollard Ranco depicts her wintertime explorations of Acadia National Park, visits inspired by the importance of Mount Desert Island to her Penobscot ancestors. Ranco combines her observations of the beauty of the park in snow and ice with practical information for other visitors, including safety suggestions for navigating Acadia in frigid conditions.
