Abstract
A collection of articles taking account of the Maine brewing industry forty years after David Geary licensed his brewery: "Beer Census" offers snippets sharing Maine beer-related minutiae; "Parting Glass" is a mini interview with Sean Sullivan, executive director of the Maine Brewers' Guild, as he steps down from the position; "Back to the Berry Beginning" recounts the production of Maine's first blueberry beer at Atlantic (then Acadia) Brewing; "Déjà Brew" discusses brewpubs and the wax and wane of their popularity in Maine; "No Alcohol, No Problem" provides snippet-sized reviews of three nonalcoholic beers from Kit NA Brewing, Eighteen Twenty Brewing Co., and Woodland Farms Brewery; "Small Talk" describes three of Maine's smallest microbreweries (Tattooed Dad, Gordon's Grog, and Frosty Bottom); finally, "40 Years of Favorites" notes the results of Down East's online poll of their readers' favorite Maine brews.
