Abstract

From the article “The Wabanaki have been making baskets from ash trees for many thousands of years, and JEREMY FREY has braided the slender strips of wood for only a couple decades. But the boldly beautiful vessels he creates have earned him countless awards and followers and, most significantly, pushed the art world to reconsider this ancient craft as a contemporary form.
