    Abstract

    "North by East." In the last four years, the number of Maine farmers markets has increased from about 30 to more than 50, scattered from Kittery to Caribou. Ellis Percy, president of the Maine Federation of Farmers Markets, says the markets are very successful and the number will continue to rise.
