Abstract
Mount Blue State Park, with 5,000 acres on the shores of Lake Webb and miles of hiking trails on 3,167-foot Mount Blue, attracts around 60,000 visitors each year. Last winter a controversy raged over the timber-harvesting rights owned by Timberlands Inc. of Dixfield, which allow the company to cut timber on a 500-acre section of the park. Details.
