Abstract

Two related articles on settling in Frenchboro, which has been waging a five-year campaign to attract new residents. A federal Community Development Block Grant increased the affordable housing stock by 40 percent -- seven buildings -- for newcomers. The five-student school reflects the personality and quality of its teacher, Kerry Hartman.
