Abstract

In the 1980s, when Frenchboro's school had one student, David Lunt organized the Frenchboro Future Development Corporation to build seven new homes and draw fishermen with families to the island. Of the initial group of six families, five left the island, but over time, other families took hold, and today the school has 13 students. With details on the process and how it changed the culture of the island.
