An elegy for Horace "Hoddy" Hildreth, who passed away in 2019. Hildreth served on the Island Institute's board of trustees for 17 years, the organization that Conkling founded, and the two men become good friends as they worked to grow the institute, bonding over a love of Maine islands and the Arctic.Includes photograph of Hoddy.
