Abstract

Profile of Gabe Pendleton, manager of the Pendleton Yacht Yard in Islesboro. After growing up on the island, he left to attend college and law school, returning when his father asked him to take over the family business. He has brought his commitment to environmentally sound approaches to the boat yard and to his work as a member of the select board. His strong engagement with island life has earned him praise from fellow board members and his employees.
