Abstract

The 20-employee RF Technologies in Lewiston makes products like waveguides, tuners, and transducers, all to control high-power radio frequency waves. RF waves power not only microwave ovens but also broadcast, heating, industrial, environmental, and defense applications, and can generate heat equal to that of the sun's core -- 100 million degrees Farenheit. More promising is spallation, through which RF waves reduce the half-life of nuclear waste from thousands of years to a few months. CEO Deepay Mukerjee uses direct marketing to sell his product around the world.
