Abstract
"Newsworthy." Despite a blustery day, Bill and Dixie Harris drew more than 700 people to their introduction to cross-country skiing at Harris Farm in Dayton. Their attraction of Boston skiers contributed to their winning the Governor's Award for Tourism Excellence. The family still manages the farm's dairy and corn farm. Its nearly 25 miles of ski trails cover 1,000 acres, thanks to neighboring farms, and Bill Harris wants to build a "winter adventure center."
