Abstract
Efficiency Maine, a statewide action group administered by the Maine Public Utilities Commission and funded by the state's electricity consumers, offers cash rebates and incentives to businesses that invest in energy-efficient equipment. Since the program began a year ago, it has rebated more than $240,000 in incentives through its Small Business Program to 220 small businesses. Companies like Trask-Decrow Machinery in South Portland act as "program allies," and sell and install qualifying equipment. As of July 1, Efficiency Maine will launch a Commercial and Industrial program for larger corporations. With examples.
