Abstract

"Business Maine: Central & Western" piece on dramatic cuts by the Bush Administration to the national Manufacturing Extension Partnerships (MEP) program, which would reduce Maine MEP's funding from $1.7 million to $1.1 million. The Maine MEP recently laid off five workers and closed its Portland office in anticipation of the cuts.
