Abstract

"Business Maine: Central & Western" piece on a complaint filed recently by the textile workers' union UNITE with the state of Maine, alleging that Cincinnati-based Cintas Corp., a uniform supplier for the Augusta Mental Health Institute, uses subcontractors in Haiti, Mexico, and Chicago that violate health, safety, wage, and overtime standards. Such conditions would violate Maine's Purchasing Code of Conduct.
