Abstract

Article on the model of community-supported agriculture (CSA) in which people help cover a farm's yearly production expenses by purchasing a share (or shares) of the expected harvest. This beneficial relationship helps farms sustain economic viability and provides members with high quality seasonal produce. With a focus on CSA operations at Laughing Stock Farm in Freeport, Wolf Pine Farm in Alfred, and Willow Pond Farm in Sabattus.
