Abstract

"Business Maine: Southern" briefly reporting that Scarborough residents opposed to a planned 397-unit high-density residential development in the Dunstan Corner area designed to limit suburban sprawl have recently submitted enough signatures to force the town to hold a special referendum on the project. The planned development would combine single-family homes, apartments and senior housing, with retail space as well as community recreation areas. Residents opposed to the project to preserve Scarborough's existing suburban density limits.
