Abstract

"Business Maine: Central & Coastal" piece briefly reporting that the state has dropped its lawsuit challenging the listing of wild Atlantic salmon as being endangered. Instead, the state has reached a compromise with the federal agencies that gives the state an active role in reviewing salmon recovery plans, with an eye toward protecting Maine's economy. The federal government has also agreed not to extend the endanged listing to any additional Maine rivers without a new review process.
