Abstract

"Business Maine: Northern" piece briefly reporting that ATX, a Caribou-based provider of software to tax preparers and accounting firms, announced earlier this month that it will hire 70 seasonal, full-time employees in the next few weeks in technical support positions at its Caribou sites. Twelve to 20 new full-time software programmers, Web development and quality assurance representatives will also be added. With 155 employees currently at its Caribou facility, 80 in Florida and 30 in Washington, D.C., AXT officials say the expansion will make the company the largest tax software company in the industry during the coming tax season.
