Article on payroll processors in Maine, commenting on safeguards business owners can take to protect themselves in light of the Harmon-Baert payroll scandal. John Baert, owner of the Saco firm, was arrested on multiple charges of mail fraud, and more than $1.1 million in Baert's clients' taxes is unpaid or missing.
