Abstract

"Business Unusual" piece on Leg Up Enterprises in Lovell, a company that markets predator urine used as an animal repellant. For more than 10 years, Leg Up has been selling animal urine that homeowners and farmers use to protect crops, gardens or shrubs from hungry animals, or to ward off dangerous creatures like wild boar and bears. Owner Bill Graham says the product is collected from animals living in zoos, animal rehabilitation farms and private menageries. The company, which employs three workers, had 2003 revenues of $1 million.
