Abstract

"From the Ground Up" piece on the popularity of commercial condominiums as lower-cost alternatives to building or buying your own structure. While condos offer a lower purchase price and alleviate concerns over maintenance and property management issues, buyers do not have total control over the property. "Garageominiums" are a popular form of commercial condos. These are warehouses with small office areas that can accommodate flexible uses such as warehousing, distribution or storage.
