Abstract

"Newsworthy" piece containing a profile of Jack Crawford, who founded Freeport-based Maine Course Hospitality Group, which owns three Ground Round restaurants in Maine and New Hampshire. In July, he and other franchisees bought out the bankrupt Ground Round Inc., and Crawford became CEO of the new Independent Owners Cooperative LLC, based in Freeport. With details on how that deal evolved and on the new parent company, which will be small and decentralized.
