Abstract
Rich Johnson, Mark Berry, Gil Reed, and Bob Nichols, four small businessmen with no development experience, plan to redevelop Wilton's former G.H. Bass complex in Franklin County and hope to put as many as 700 people back to work. Using their connections in metal manufacturing and heavy equipment sales, they hope to find small manufacturers to fill the Nichols/Bass Building and Technology Center. The Wilton Development Corporation accepted Nichols Development's proposal based partly on the enthusiasm of the men and their commitment to the local economy. Nichols Custom Welding will be the first tenant. With details on the proposal and the role each man is playing in its realization.
