Abstract
"Business Maine" piece profiling Maine Times newspaper co-founder, Peter Cox, 67, who died Nov. 18 at his Georgetown home. The now-defunct paper was an influential voice in the state for social and environmental issues. Cox also helped start the Maine Public Policy Scholars program at the University of Maine; the Maine Downtown Center; the anti-sprawl group GrowSmart Maine; and the natural beef program at Freeport-based Wolfe's Neck Farm. He served as president of the Maine Civil Liberties Union and was a member of the board of directors at the Portland Museum of Art.
